Underground Electrical & Trenching

Power to the garage, barn, dock or new addition — trenched, conduited and buried to code, with utility locates handled and your yard put back the way it was.

Getting power across a yard is mostly about doing the boring parts right: correct burial depth for the wiring method, conduit that won't collapse or flood, warning tape, utility locates before a shovel touches ground, and a route that anticipates the deck you'll build someday.

We handle the full underground scope — MISS DIG utility locates, trenching, conduit and conductor sizing for the load and distance (voltage drop matters at 200 feet in a way it doesn't at 20), and inspection before backfill. Feeds to detached garages, pole barns, docks and outbuildings usually pair with a subpanel at the far end, which we size for what you'll actually run out there. Where lawns and hardscape make open trenching painful, we'll tell you honestly whether directional boring is the better path.

Frequently asked questions

How deep does electrical conduit need to be buried?
It depends on the wiring method and what's above it — common depths range from 6 to 24 inches. We trench to the depth your specific installation requires and document it for inspection before backfill.
My underground line to the garage stopped working. Can it be repaired?
Often, yes — we locate the fault point electronically instead of digging up the whole run, then repair or replace the damaged section. Direct-buried cable from decades past is sometimes better replaced in conduit.
Do you handle the utility locate calls?
Yes — locates through MISS DIG are part of the job, every time, before any digging.
